Here is an excerpt from an interview with Nashik’s Pioneer Businessmen in Electronics Retail – Rupesh Mundada, Owner of Mundada Corporation – One of the biggest electronic chain store from Nashik.

Established in 2002, Mundada Corporation has been using Tally for all their accounting purposes. As the store grew from a single outlet to 3 different locations, their requirements also grew. The store retails 25 different brands of electronics and has a lot of SKU’s that need to be maintained.

Q: How did you hear about Marg ERP 9? 

Rupesh Mundada: Our CA firm told us to look into this as it was quite a popular and fast growing ERP system used by some of the leading brands.

Q: What were the limitations you were facing with your existing Software (Tally)?

Rupesh Mundada: Tally couldn’t keep pace with our increasing demand. It was good primarily as an accounting software, but we needed more. We wanted a complete system that can be used across all our departments for not just accounting purposes, but also to have analysis of how the overall business is performing and what are the areas that need attention.

Q: Can you elaborate?

Rupesh Mundada: Well, for starters, I get Level Wise Reports, Brand Wise Performance & Profitability Reports, Area Wise Performance etc. in terms of business analytics. Moreover, I can now monitor the entire business including multiple locations as well as my sales teams from anywhere. The mobile app for sales personnel is also of tremendous help as it gives an update to our wholesale salesmen with real-time inventory data.

It’s also easier to put up bundle offers for select brands by putting up discount schemes at the click of a button.

All of this helps us in tremendously reducing the overhead costs as well as increase efficiency of our workforce. Our team can now focus on their core competencies instead of wasting precious time on back to back phone calls etc. to check status.

Q: How has your experience with Touchwood Solutions been with regards to implementation of Marg ERP 9 for your stores in Nashik?

Rupesh Mundada: I was initially hesistant to move to a completely new system. Therefore, I had sent a 3 page detailed questionnaire of things I was looking for to Touchwood. I was delighted to receive a point by point reply on everything that can be implemented. Even though the requirement was complicated, they did not for once make it look so. We got on-site support and all the customization were done by their Technical Team by being present at our location. They even provided us a demo of the entire system before we finalized them.
